The Princess Christian Home is an Independent Non-Profit Organisation, focusing on comprehensive care for the Elderly. Assisted Living and Frail Care accommodation is available in an attractive and conveniently located venue.

The Princess Christian Home is steeped in almost 120 years of history. Originally based on the Rhodes Estate in Mowbray, it was relocated to Kirstenhof in 2004. The Home is named after Princess Christian (Helena), third daughter of Queen Victoria and wife of Prince Christian of Schleswig-Holstein.

Various activities are scheduled, for the enjoyment of the residents, including twice-weekly exercise classes, weekly non-denominational Church services, pet therapy, games sessions, trivia quiz, craft activities, sing-alongs and walks and a variety of entertainment events (Covid-19 permitting).

Our weekly hairdressing salon and monthly foot-hygiene therapist enhance the wellbeing of our residents. PCH features a well-stocked Library for the enjoyment of the residents, with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and two lounges.

Our Home residents enjoy a full dining experience for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, with our set menu prepared by professional caterers and their dietician.

Our beautiful Gardens, with perfectly placed benches for relaxation, are open to all residents. A foot path around the perimeter of the Home facilitates safe and convenient walking. Our Aviary garden features a budgie cage, with a large gazebo, and tables and chairs, for a time spent outdoors.
